Dilyan Todorov is recognized for a dynamic international performance career and his innovative work as a leading piano pedagogue in London. His extensive performing experience as a soloist and recitalist has taken him across Europe, the UK, and the USA, with notable appearances at London’s Royal Festival Hall and Barbican Centre, and collaborations with ensembles such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. His artistic prowess is affirmed by numerous prizes from prestigious international competitions, including first prize at the International Music Competition ‘Hopes, Talents, Masters’, a top prize at the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition, and third prizes at the ‘Franz Schubert’ and ‘Young Virtuosos’ competitions.
Parallel to his success on stage, Mr. Todorov has established himself as a resourceful and influential educator. He serves as Piano Teacher at the Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama, holds positions at several leading private schools, and is the founder and director of the London Music Platform. His teaching is highly sought after for its unique synthesis of performance insight and pedagogical innovation.
Mr. Todorov’s foundational training began at the ‘Panayot Pipkov’ National School of Arts in Bulgaria under Antoaneta Vodenicharova. He furthered his studies as an International Music Scholar at Whitgift School, London, with Tatiana Sarkissova, and subsequently completed his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama on scholarship, under the tutelage of Ronan O'Hora and Peter Bithell.
