Vocal Coach
Born and raised in Tuscany and currently based in London, Victoria is a British-Italian soprano and a recent awardee of the International Opera Awards. Victoria graduated from the Royal Academy of Music (MA Distinction) studying with Nuccia Focile and is also a First-Class graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music (BMus Hons).
Naturally, she has a particular affinity for Italian operatic repertoire, drawn by the immediate visceral connection this music evokes. Victoria has interpreted several significant soprano roles nationally and internationally: most recently to acclaim the title role in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly. Her notable performances have ranged from the Royal Albert Hall and Smith Square Hall in London to Blenheim Palace, Olavinlinna Castle, Finland, to Theater im Delphi, Berlin, and as a live soloist on Rai Radio 3, Rome.

Alongside performing, Victoria taught singing at Kings College London shortly after gaining a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music (LRAM) certificate in Vocal teaching. Currently she teaches singing from her home studio in person and online. She particularly enjoys the challenge of a constantly changing instrument: the voice, and welcomes students of all abilities and musical aspirations.
In her teaching practice she incorporates various fundamental aspects: vocal technique, suitable repertoire with an emphasis on accurate and idiomatic diction, a strong awareness and exploration of posture derived from Alexander Technique and Pilates, interpretation, strategic practice and learning techniques, audition technique. Her work also extends to Italian diction coaching as well as an in-depth knowledge of all the standard European operatic languages.
Fostering a trusting, safe and collaborative relationship with her students is essential for all the above to happen. Bringing out the uniqueness of each voice and seeing students' confidence and enjoyment increase - no matter where they started - is what fuels her to carry on with this work.
